I would like to have a user selection for more then one user.
The administrator has disabled public write access.

+1 - in fact, multiple selection of anything however, this would almost presume a many-to-many relation... This has been discussed and is on the roadmap.

Might I ask why you want to do that specifically?

Still N:N problem not supported yet.
