:unsure: I am pretty sure this is a stupid question, but I cant figure out how to change the background color of the item screen. My component is working, user clicks on a list of records (collection) and is sent to a screen where they can edit the record (the item screen). Inside the form (below the "save, delete" etc buttons) are the fields to the user can edit. Behind all those fields is a white background. In firefox I cannot isolate the section to determine what if any CSS is causing this. I want to make it transparent, or just fill it with the background color of my theme.

CSS topic.
It concerns the template you are using...

You can use the developper-tools of Firefox/Chrome to debug it easily.
Coding is now a piece of cake

Sorry if this is old news

1) View the form in CHROME
2) Right click the invisible section you want to check out
3) Left click INSPECT ELEMENT
4) IN the dev window, at the right hand side click the COMPUTED tab
5) Make sure SHOW INHERITIED is ticked
6) Look at items like COLOUR and BACKGROUND colout to see which file / style sheet is giving you issues and generating the wrong colour

Push comes to shove as a temp fix, in your components style sheet just add styling for element you want to alter and add !important; at the end of the style example

background-color : #444 !important;

this will override absolutely any other styling, even any that is rendered later (unless that also has an !important label, which means last loaded will override
